First held in 2006, the Turkchem Eurasia has since become a significant meeting point for the chemical industry. In 2006, Turkey's chemical sector had an economic volume of approximately $8.7 billion, with a focus largely on basic chemicals and plastic production.
Over the past 18 years, Turkey's chemical sector has undergone a significant transformation, reaching an economic volume of $33.6 billion by 2022 and becoming the country's largest export sector.
As the chemical sector grows, Turkchem is expanding at the same pace, bringing together a wide range of professionals and continuing to strengthen the role of the chemical industry both in Turkey and globally.
The Turkchem Eurasia 2022 saw participation from 12,075 visitors from 88 countries over the course of three days.
The largest number of international visitors came from Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan, Egypt, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
